A sculptor shares his Thunder Bunny.<\/p>\n

The Blueness of it hints of hidden graces.<\/p>\n

Pedestrians pass it daily, hardly looking,<\/p>\n

And to them, it seems ever the same fixture.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

But as each pair of eyes peer onto its skin,<\/p>\n

The bunny becomes someone\u2019s reminder<\/p>\n

Of a loved pet, of a favorite book, of a thing<\/p>\n

Held tight to the chest, unwilling to let go.<\/p>\n

The sculpture becomes the linking form<\/p>\n

That ties each person to another.<\/p>\n

That blue links to a sky blue and black,<\/p>\n

To the Middle River where an old man finds a fish<\/p>\n

That feeds the famished diner at the caf\u00e9<\/p>\n

Around the corner on Wilton Drive.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

We can connect the dots. This day ties<\/p>\n

Us to another time before when wise<\/p>\n

Ancestors designed a community<\/p>\n

Dedicated to a free friending in the whirl<\/p>\n

Of crafting lives of risings and fallings.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

The sculpture may look the same daily<\/p>\n

But each day is new and even that blue-<\/p>\n

Ness is a little different to each passerby.<\/p>\n

Nothing remains unchanged. The beats<\/p>\n

Of our soundtracks retell each tale,<\/p>\n

Each one unique, a story ending<\/p>\n

In a beginning that looks alike<\/p>\n

But differs in some deep soulful spark.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

The Thunder Bunny is not silent.<\/p>\n

It, like some blinking neon, shouts:<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Are you paying attention?<\/em><\/p>\n

Yes, we have a moment to ponder<\/p>\n

What came before, what comes after,<\/p>\n

But instead better to focus on this breath,<\/p>\n

This whisper of a today too soon over.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\"Image\"<\/span>
